St. Joseph School Home and School Association (H.S.A.) hosted a Valentine Dinner Dance on Saturday,February 6 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in North Grosvenordale, CT. The hall was...
beautifully decorated in Valentine colors and the food (a choice of roast beef or chicken)was delicious. All the proceeds for the event which totaled $1,301.00 were donated to Project Graduation.
H.S.A.Co-President Kate Pezzano added, "I am so pleased to see how many people came to enjoy our Valentines Dinner Dance. Our Home and School Association worked very hard to make this not only a financially successful event for Project Graduation, but an event people would have a great time at and in turn would want to come again next year. I am happy to say we achieved that. We owe a big thank you to all the people who reached out to friends, family, other parents, and our parishioners to personally invite them. H.S.A.sent out personal invitations to our school parents, teachers, and staff along with announcements at our churches and elsewhere, but having someone ask you to come and knowing they really want you there makes a huge difference. We were thrilled to see many new faces from the St. Joseph Parish Community (St. Joseph and St. Stephen) and people who hadn't attended our events before. What a wonderful evening! We look forward to doing this again next year!"
HSA Co-President Nickey Gisleson added, "I was very excited and
encouraged by our turn out of the event. It was
really great to see new faces and see everyone having a great time. I
was also pleased with the number of people who stepped and and lended a
hand in making this event happen......Thanks so much to everyone that
helped out and we look forward to having HSA doing it again in the
future."
Parent and attendee Carolyn Laconto said, “I just wanted to say I thought the whole night was put together so wonderfully and everyone that I invited (outside of school) had a GREAT time and lots of fun!! The food was great, decorating was beautiful, and the dancing was a hit. I'm sure my co-workers (and even more) will go again next year after having such a goodtime this year! Great job to everyone who helped!”
