Ben Adase Wins Spelling Bee |

...and the winner is
The
Knights of Columbus Connecticut State Council Catholic School Spelling
Bee was held on Sunday, March 13 and St. Joseph (North Grosvenordale)
student Ben Adase (Grade 6) won in his division.
The Regional Spelling
Bee was held at St. Bernard Middle School in Uncasville, CT. Ben will
now go on to compete in the state level on Sunday, April 10 at St.
Thomas Seminary in Bloomfield, CT.
At the regional level, all participants will receive a certificate and
the first, second and third place finishers in each grade level will
receive a special certificate. At the state level, the first, second and
third place finishers in each grade will receive a trophy and Gift
Certificates to Barnes & Noble. Additionally, a special plaque will
be presented to the school of the State Spelling Champion in each
division.
"It feels really good!" Ben said about the win and
offered some advice for future spelling bee contestants, "Study, study,
study."
